Choosing Your Surgeon
When you choose to undergo plastic surgery, you are making an important – and personal – decision. Regardless of which procedure you are considering, there are many decisions you will make along the way to help us customize the surgery to align with your unique cosmetic goals. Selecting the plastic surgeon who will guide you through these decisions, as well as perform your procedure, may be the most critical choice you make.
Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon
Dr. Neil J. Zemmel is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. You can have peace of mind knowing that he has spent years undergoing additional education and training in his specialized field. Board-certified plastic surgeons spend at least two years of training in plastic surgery in addition to three years of general surgery training. They must also complete rigorous written and oral examinations in order to receive their certification. Dr. Zemmel advises caution when choosing your doctor, as the title “plastic surgeon” does not necessarily mean the doctor is board-certified. Even the title “board-certified cosmetic surgeon” can be misleading, as doctors such as ENTs and dermatologists can technically be classified in this way.
At Richmond Aesthetic Surgery, we understand choosing the right plastic surgeon is essential to achieving outstanding results. Dr. Zemmel invites you to review his training and experience so you can feel confident that you are receiving the high-quality care that comes with a history of success. You can also view the results of some of our patients in the photo gallery. You deserve a plastic surgeon who has the credentials, training, skills, and experience to best meet your needs, desires, and expectations, so be sure to choose a board-certified plastic surgeon for all of your cosmetic or reconstructive procedures.
Dr Zemmel and team are top notch! I felt safe and cared for during every step and especially during recovery time. The team is very responsive, friendly and professional. I highly recommend this practice!
